Guard Christmas

Fun was had by all... The dining out was a success! The room looked incredible, the guard members and their families had a good time and the pictures were a complete success.

Guard Christmas Party

I'm getting excited... last year they started a "new" tradition and did a formal for the Christmas party... it was so cool seeing all the soldiers in their dress uniforms and the wives/girlfriends all dolled up as well...

This years party is this coming Saturday night. We've made arrangements for each soldier to have their picture taken again... here is ours from last year...

This year Pat is wearing his dress blues... I can't wait!!

I was reading thru Ali Edward's blog today and came across a link to Stephanie Robert's Cool People I Know blog to check out her blog on Life Lists while at her blog I came across her blog titled Dear American Soldier ... you should read this... it is a very touching letter to an anonymous soldier on an airplane...

Hello World!

New to blogging, not real good at journalling, but want to give it a try. A little about me. I'm married to a wonderful man who happens to be active duty Nat'l Guard. We have 3 kids, 2 dogs and a cat. We live in a tiny town in North Dakota and the water levels here are insane right now. My house is starting to look like I own Lake Front property!

I've worked at a sugar beet processing plant as an instrumentation technician for the past 10 years. I'm an avid scrapbooker and stamper (see my other blog http://www.akporter.blogger.com/ ).
